Lorin Latarro - Director / Choreographer

LORIN LATARRO recently choreographed Broadway’s Waitress, the Broadway transfer of Donmar Warehouses’s Les Dangereuse Liasons with Janet McTeer and Liev Shreiber, Waiting For Godot with Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart, and is the Associate Choreographer of Curious Incident Of The Dog in The Night-Time.

 

Other Choreography includes Lin Manuel Miranda’s This American Life: 21 Chump Street - BAM, Shaina Taub’s Twelfth Night and Lear DeBessonet’s The Odyssey at The Delacorte - Public Theater, Queen Of The Night (Drama Desk Award), Dear Mr. Rosewater and Fanny at Encores, Best Is Yet To Come (Drama Desk Award) 59E59, Beaches The Musical - Drury Lane. Peter and The Wolf - BAM, Greenday’s Grammy Performance, Kiss Me Kate - Barrington Stage Co, Bruce Hornsby’s SCKBSTRD - Signature, PBS Live From Lincoln Center, Die Zauberflote and Love For Three Oranges - Juilliard Opera. Ingmar Bergman’s Nora - Westport Playhouse, Jasper In Deadland - Prospect Theater Co, My Fair Lady - Cape Playhouse, City Club - Minetta Lane. Lorin is the Associate Choreographer of American Idiot and The Met’s Rigoletto.

 

As a performer Lorin was in 14 Broadway shows including Fosse, Swing!, A Chorus Line and Twyla Tharp’s Movin’ Out. She danced for Robert Wilson, Martha Graham and MOMIX.

 

Lorin is an Associate Artist at Bucks County Playhouse under Robyn Goodman and Alex Fraser. Shows include Company, Rocky Horror, Ain’t Misbehavin’, World Goes ‘Round, Buddy, Taste of Things To Come.

 

She is a Dancebreak recipient, an Astaire Award nominee, is a Gates Foundation Arts Advocate in Africa and India, and is the founder of ArtAmmo.org, Artists Against Gun Violence, seen on PBS, Rachel Maddow and NYTimes. Lorin is a BFA graduate and adjunct professor at The Juilliard School.
